remarkably intact and oversized interior (possible exterior) lobby playbill banner dating to 1947. the vintage banner was likely displayed during the summer months (based on the bottom advertisement for a cooled or air-conditioned theater). the banner promotes harold russell in person, along with the c. 1947 movie “that’s my man, starring don ameche featured on screen. the highly customized stitched cloth banner is double-sided and hung for a length of time at the c. 1926 downtown chicago oriental theater. the banner contains spots of paint, areas of discoloration, but the overall condition is very good, considering age. measures 7 x 9 feet.
