david felling kodachrome salvage images of eames and young’s 1898 lincoln trust (more commonly known as title guaranty) building taken during its demolition in 1983.

the 13-story beaux-arts style commerial skyscraper was loacated at 706 chestnut street, st. louis, mo. the exterior terra cotta ornament was fabricated by the winkle terra cotta company (established in 1882), st. louis, mo.

the custom-designed ornamental monogrammed cast iron office door harddware was executed by the yale and towne mfg. co., stamford, ct. 

the figural angels or “winged victory” caryatids were sculpted by julius r. rollin (also sculpted the rearing lions flanking harvey ellis’s washington terrace clock tower and gatehouse (1894).

the building was demolished in 1983 by spirtas wrecking company, st. louis, mo.
