johnson wax building, officially the sc johnson administration building, is a notable example of modern architecture designed by frank lloyd wright in racine, wisconsin. serving as the global headquarters for s.c. johnson & son, the building is recognized for its innovative “organic” design inspired by a pine forest.

key architectural features:

dendriform columns: the main workroom contains slender, tree-like columns that widen dramatically at the top for roof support.

pyrex glass tubing: wright used 43 miles of glass tubes instead of traditional windows, allowing soft light to enter while blocking outside views.
