digitization of weary and alford-designed noel state bank building blueprints, drawings, and contracts underway

the bldg. 51 museum archive has finally begun the long and arduous process of digitizing any and all blueprints, photographic images, contracts, and shop drawings of the noel state bank (1919) designed by the architectural firm of weary and alford. 

the largely intact archive was salvaged from a hidden vault in the noel state bank building, located in the wicker park neighborhood of chicago. the american neoclassical style bank building was designed and built by the architectural firm of weary & alford co., chicago, il., for joseph noel, who founded the north west savings bank in 1905.
