the blythe house is the third house in rock glen and second of three houses commissioned by blythe, who was the principal developer of rock glen.
it shares construction and design characteristics with william f. temple’s 1911 “solid rock” house prior to 1919 alterations by barry bryne and alfonso iannelli.
located in 82 essex road in winneka, il., the temple house was demolished in 2022 and replaced with a larger development.
