early 20th century terra cotta and tile fabricated by gates’s company located nearby, is scattered all around the estate. i immediately identified a few polychromatic fragments, found on john eberson’s extant atmospheric avalon theater (1927), located at 1641 e. 79th street, chicago, ills.
