21 Jul greenville university’s richard bock sculpture museum filled with frank lloyd wright ornament and ephemera

photos from our visit to richard w. bock sculpture museum, located at 315 e. college avenue, greenville, ills.
sharon grimes, who’s the current director of the museum and expert on bock, provided us with a deeply informative tour of the exhibits, carefully arranged on two floors in the historic almira college house (1855).
the bock collection was donated to greenville university by bock’s family through a connection with former art history professor donald hallmark.
the “frank lloyd wright” room is by the most interesting – at least to us anyways, which features a architectural drawings and letters, maquettes (e.g., larkin building, martin house, home and studio, etc.), a dana house art glass window, japanese prints, and proto-type table.
