one of many cold-rolled sheet iron original ceiling-mount carbon arc spotlights used to illuminate events held at chicago stadium. the turned wood knob and glass fresnel lens are original.

vibrantly colored used matchbook cover with encircled “c” logo (adopted by william wrigley when he acquired the chicago cubs) and cobb’s facade flanked by a laurel wreath.

early 20th century cast bronze spittoon cover from the courthouse building. the bldg.51 museum holds a complete spittoon with ornamental “vessel” featuring rosettes.

original cast yellow brass guest room door hardware designed specifically for the blackstone hotel. the “rooster” motif is used in the building’s cream-colored exterior terra cotta. fabricated by the yale & towne mfg. co., stamford, ct.

ornamental cast iron stringer section removed from the the gage building’s street level facade during the 1950’s. the louis sullivan-designed ornament was fabricated by the winslow brothers foundry, chicago, ills.

small copper-plated cast iron interior staircase stringer fragment removed from the chicago stock exchange prior to demolition in 1972. the sullivan-designed fragment was fabricated by the winslow brothers foundry, chicago, ills.

original exterior white glazed terra cotta sill course panel salvaged from the facade of the schlesinger and mayer during one of many restorations. the late 19th century (1899) panel was designed by l.h. sullivan, modeled by christian schneider, and executed by the northwestern terra cotta company, chicago, ills.
